Social Issue: Laughs are Infinite

In my photograph, there are two girls in a young age. They are on the end of the slide at a park. The picture shows that they are glad to be together, on such a beautiful day. They are two sisters laughing, enjoying there free-time, and also shows how much her big sister cares for her by holding the little girl side. The flowers in the background means that the day was bright, fresh, and pretty.

My photograph means that laughs never end. You can be sad, angry or depressed but someone or something can enlighten your day. This relates to me because when I get sad or angry, I can just go outside and see other many things that enlighten my day. A person is a great example, my brother is the one I go to when I need help. We might have out ups and downs but he will always be there for me, as well as I'll be too.

My favorite was the alien because I felt like I put more effort into in. Also I learned more photoshop tricks. Some new tools we used were the clone stamp, and pen. The pen tool was difficult to use and get it how I wanted it.

Photographic Effects

The trick I liked more was Paint: black & white because you can choose and change anything to the color you want. I used this trick more. As you can see on my pictures, I changed things to different colors. I would like to explore more with Fix because I didn't use for the fact of not knowing all the steps. I didn't explore anything new because I was scared it was going to ruin my picture or change anything else.

I feel like the picture I put more effort into it was my artistic photograph because I had the light how I wanted it and a good angle for the picture. I tried to find a place with light and not an ugly background for the artistic picture. The mood I thought I took is motivation. My surprise photo is unique but not different. Many people can capture something like mine. My prop picture didn't come out as good. I used a basketball as a prop. It would of been better if I were to capture the whole scene with the hoop.

I have learned eight compositional tricks. The one I have enjoyed the most is Macro. It helps you seen more into the emphasis, and lets you capture things you never seen. My least favorite was Rule of Thirds because I seemed to struggle on where to face the camera and finding a good place. My favorite picture on my contact sheet is my Simplicity photo. I felt like I put more effort into it and found it simple to turn into black and white.

Lighting adds beauty and causes a dramatic effect. It also shows emotion.

Compositional Trick #6 Framing

Framing is anything that surrounds the emphasis in the photograph so the eye looks directly at the subject.

Compositional Trick #5 Extreme Angles

Angles are good to know because it gives us a better view of our emphasis from above or below them. I would have to say they are pretty good job because they show the emphasis from both below and above them. It gives us a good look on the color and texture.

Compositional Trick #4 Simplicity

Simplicity is nothing boring because you see things more perfect. So with a perfect picture you can turn into black and white without even changing levels. I think my pictures are effective.

Compositional Trick #3 Macro

Macro lets you get closer to smaller subjects. It magnifies the subject and the background tends to get blurry fast.

Compostional Trick #2 Leading Lines

Leading Lines are when they lead you to an empahsis or object. It takes you visually into the photograph.

Compositional Trick #1 Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds is when you focus on an objects position but outside of the center of your photograph.
